This title is a book written by Col. Philip Corso together with William Birnes. I read this book in 1997 when it first came out courtesy of the Everett Public library.
The book is all about the disclosure of Col. Corso of the famous incident in Roswell, New Mexico where he has been given the responsibility of taking care of what has been recovered from a supposedly alien crash that happened in 1947. After several years he would go to several labs and companies who have the capabilities and the team of scientist and engineering experts who would be able to make use of the recovered items for earthly use.
The book has been widely disputed and most of its detractors believe this to be a fraud and a hoax but the Colonel has remained unwavering in his claims stating that he didn't want to bring this secret with him to the grave. He died in 1998.
Last Friday, History Channel International showed a documentary of this book. I just loved it cause it gave its viewers something to look at that you would not be able to see in the book. History Channel has repeats of the show so check their schedule and they also sell a dvd of the show on their website. However, I found a link so that you'd be able to watch it online.
